Voces Del Bosque

Almost half a century has passed since the inhabitants of the Yavesia forest, a community nestled in the highlands of Oaxaca, began the struggle to defend their forests and water. They have stopped the federal and state governments on more than one occasion and today, as the clock ticks closer and closer to day zero, Yavesia is one of the communities in the world that defends and promotes a way of life where respect and love for nature are paramount in our idiosyncrasy
