Lisbon, Studio Valentim de Carvalho, 2022: Malan Mané, former star singer of the famous formation Super Mama Djombo from Guinea-Bissau, who has been living in exile in France for 30 years, is preparing to finally record the album he composed decades ago. How many miracles did it take to make this moment a reality? How did Mané live all these years in exile? The songs reveal his view of Guinea-Bissau and today's Africa. Today, 50 years after Guinea-Bissau's independence, what has become of the revolutionary ideals of yesteryear?
