A shy young guard discovers a sloping engineer on the flat roof of the building. Overpassed, he demonstrates his inventions and tells his story. Excellent work by cameramen Tamaki Watanabe and Takafumi Matsunaga: Close-ups of the two protagonists emphasize the theatrical even more.
