Humashah Sultan and Gulbahar Sultan give birth to their sons, Murat and Selim, on the same night. Years later, the young princes play together in the palace gardens. When Ayse, the daughter of the Grand Vizier, gives Selim a flower, Murat becomes jealous and tries to take it from him. During the struggle, Selim lets go of the flower and Murat falls, hitting his head on a stone and losing consciousness. As Humashah and Gulbahar rush to the boys after hearing their cries, the Sultan unexpectedly appears. The two women turn toward him in tension and bow, as the episode ends on the Sultan's face.
